- Edenton, NC : Edenton is a great place to shop with
a viable downtown with antique and boutique shops. Finding that special gift for any occasion is a treat. A delicious leisurely lunch in one of several fine restaurants makes for a nice interlude. Other activities include guided walking and trolley tours from the Visitor Center. Edenton is also home to many fine inns located within its historic district.
- Old Towne Orange offers its 11,300 residents a
chance to step back in time. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Orange County community of about 1,200 homes has the largest collection of historical houses in California. At its heart is the Plaza Square park, with a landmark fountain dating to the city's founding in the 1870s
- Connecticut gets my vote for having the most
appealing, closest-together abundance of picturesque towns. Meaning little old church-steeple communities, not excessively commercialized but with hospitable inns, eateries, and individual elements of Early Americana. Ideal for roundabout driving tours, they're scattered throughout the Nutmeg State.
- Adamstown has become the premier year-round
antiques destination in the Northeast with over 3,000 antique dealers within a three-mile radius.
- Prague. The centerpiece of the Old Town is the
famous Prague Astronomical Clock on the original Old Town Hall at the Old Town Square. From the wide Old Town Square extend numerous narrow streets and alleys full of remarkable sights, including churches, cathedrals, museums, antique shops and centuries old wine and beer cellars.
- Wander along the gentle shores of a Great Lake so
beautifully framed by the picturesque landscapes of the Northumberland Hills. Savour the sweet scent of apple blossoms and the bounty of the harvest baked into delectable treats. Browse for antiques along lovingly preserved 19th-century streets in little villages that look positively Victorian.

Nestled in the heart of scenic Pennsylvania Dutch Country, little Adamstown is making a big name for itself in the world of antiques. Dealers and collectors, as well as the uninitiated from all over the world have succumbed to the charms of Adamstown, which has become the premier year-round antiques destination in the Northeast. The easy access to the area from Exit 286 off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike provides the traveler with a worry-free trip.
